About being two timed, Irish humor

Me Michael a waiting

I found ye sittin’ there next to me path
Round rock a sittin’ with yer hands clasped
There underneath that ancient old tree
Waiting and watching knowing t’is me

I stood there so rooted I ne’er could pass
My angel thee Michael protecting this lass
I thought there was one but ye nodded eh two
Ye showed me their faces he hid them well too

For once a true love he ne’er forget
Yet fondly so ever although he not met
His sweetest of wooing with friend as the guise
Has proven his falling for which he despise

So Bonnie lass me Michael doth say
Take yer fair heart and protect it today
Just be a knowing t’is way he will be
Will be his undoing for eternity

Through sorrows ye learned of many a kind
On yer life’s path o’ daughter o’ mine
But wisdom befalls ye for I’m ever here
Protecting ye darlin’ for that can be sure

Misfortunes train ye escapin’ yer eyes
But when ye get home take a pint to the rise
And wish him the best o’ the Irish refrain
May it fall off behind ye ahhh what a shame

Although you are using humor in your poem, there a deeper meaning behind it all. Thank you for sharing, Carolee. Love and best wishes,

Ah, two-timing bastards will two-time beautiful ladies as well at the less desirable. It is a physical addiction called the Four-F Club, they'd two-time Elizabeth Taylor in her prime. Eh, Richard?
