I long to be at home wherever I find myself, and with you is where home is. ~Lily of Lough Neagh~

 It feels like being Home

The moment our eyes met
 It could not be denied
The moment that we touched
The knowing could not hide

For we both were home
with our first embrace
Not for just one season
For every one in place

Peace within our souls
Warmth of hearth afire
No better place to be
Safe within your arms

No matter where we are
No matter what we do
Together we as one
It’s home for me and you

Waking in your gracious arms
Eyes looking deep within
Have I truly slept?
You smile a gentle grin

We are the summer breeze
The warmth that it doth share
We are the autumn leaves
Their colors waft on air

I turn to you again
To share a tender kiss
Our velvet petals melding
You know how well we fit

For every path we walked
Each both our separate search
Brought us both together
Life paths both so researched

It feels like being home
Always meant to be
No song or word describes
How much you mean to me

Falling back to sleep
Wrapped in each other’s arms
Let not this dream be ending
Transforming that we are

Two cocoons are opened
Emerge the butterflies
Mirroring each other
Knowing all which wise

For you are home to me
All that’s safe and warm
Where freedom can be had
Safety from the storm

For it has always been
And it always will
Peacefulness abide
Our home is o’ love filled

The old cliché, Home Is Where the Heart Is, applies. That path is very inviting. I walked down many a pathway like that alone. It is so much better to share it with one you love.

Wonderfully expressed poetry! Yes , there is no place like home.
Yes, and in the end we all get to go home. Thank you Lord. Amen!

This is stunningly beautiful. Love, how that feeling that drives us all mad...in a good way of course.

As always your calm and sensitive poetry soothes me so.

Much peace, love and light,

You are able to put a feeling into words that not can be described.
Being home is not a specific place, it's being with the one you love, it's a feeling that goes beyond everything.

This is so very beautiful sigh............

Couldn't be any more plainer that that, Carol. Arms to encircle you, shoulder to lean on.

On the other hand, he has warmth from a woman full and tenderness when he is feeling frail.

Put these two together and you can see the passion rise. Th love and devotion at an all time high.
