FIGURE IT OUT

                                            SUNSET

Glancing at the star-filled November

sky,

I try to forget,yet, how can I

elude the manacles of my shadow

Not in the memory of living

men,

or adventures of the little wren

has such beauty ever been writ

Had he not felt Death's kiss

betimes,

Our story in Shakespeare's wits would tide

a better pla than Romeo and Juliet

For though they glitttered in golden

garbs,

Their days were quick-slammed and Cupids hand

offered an end, the bitter token

Ours was ordained by the

gods,

Who,for us,have yawned Life's doors

and for us too, have shut Death's

Fortune, You have hid my

mirth,

as my visions, you vanish at birth

like morning dew in blazing sun

You have crossed the

rubicon,

Yet,inseparable and un-torn

we'll be,even to this long thread of distance

And even on that day that our sun will

set,

among the clouds,we'll float and whet

our love, with the globe at our feet.

This is a very powerful ode, Sanctus, that bespeaks a probing, inner voice. Beautiful poetry.
