Brilliant is the day
When honesty reins,
Devoid of doubt
Encircling us,
Without fear
Of that which cannot be seen.
Our world
Is filled with challenges,
Unforeseen
And lethal;
We count upon solid ground,
Firm beneath our feet,
And we yearn for honesty,
As seen within the eyes
Of those trusted in our lives,
And ending
In a warren strong and true .
Make me proud,
Loving all of that
Which is so,
But delude me not
With falsehoods,
Created for your show.
I am but a simple man,
Without need
For glitter or shine,
And I long to hold candor
Within my arms,
And to know that it is mine.

Ah....honesty and candor... There is something trustworthy about those who can speak with candor. And me... I am a lover of truth! How I despise being lied to...oh, just not a good thing!! I have a poem about lies, entitled "Honey"

| Sounds divine. You put it very well. Lies are for the greedy, who steal from the truth to supposedly add to their character-- Perhaps it has leavening power, but it over-inflates, and leaves a horrid taste in the mouth-- highly unhealthy for you. Candor, on the other hand, is loaded with vitamins, and gives your love dough the exact lift neaded to keep it light, nutricious, and highly edible. --and huggable (on the insides). ...another Uncle Remus making a doughbaby of Loooo-ve --Charlie |
