Describe Adonis.

In red anemone let Adonis come
whence of his anointed blood have so sprung
from gored loin wild boar Syrian.
The Nile has bled her mensturation,
on her mire the swineherd has trodden,
scattered & harvest threshed the seed & corn,
consecrated it in Astarte´s name,
her Byblos temple of red anemone.

She who will suckle him from her nipple,
red as anemones, milk of life & death,
whose lips of blood & wine kiss fickleless
from the moon the sun born child´s full
face, together embraced in red anemone,
as the bards song of the ages is sung.

Excellent!!!..why can't I think of lines like that..well..hmmm..it's because I'm an apprentice poet learning from the Master himself...:)

You found a fine method for this work, it is colorful and descriptive. Classic themes suitably stated, I enjoyed this work thoroughly.

Cheers.

Hi Robin,
This is good stuff.
Looks like you are back in the Lebanon tasting the waters from the River of Immortal Love.
You have just inspired me to write something, give me five minutes, if it goes wrong it is all your fault.

I enjoyed reading this.

Adonis taking the face and form of the Stag... nursing from Ceridwen, the Great Boar, during Beltane. It's interesting as all seems to commingle, and come from one and same source. And then... perhaps it does. I'm fascinated, Robin.

Wow, Robin...Adonis never looked so good until described by your unique piece, a wonder, indeed, the face of sun's youth. :)
