Is an Educator or Teacher -
Who is too Strict - a Pedant?
Can a Grammarian be Too Prescriptive?
Or Are Poets Too Aberrant?

Is a Lack of Vocabulary the Culprit?
Is Poetic License Really an Excuse?
Can We Reach a Happy Medium?
Or is the Answer - a Recuse?

Can a Popular Leader -
Truly - Represent The People?
Or Does She/He Overwhelm -
Performing High Upon a Steeple?

If I Scratch Your Back -
And You Scratch Mine -
Are We Then in Collusion -
Must We Pay a Fine?

If the Dog Hadnít Stopped to Take a Dump -
Would he Have Caught the Rabbit?
Or is a Pedantic Pedagogue - in Essence -
A Self-centered Narrow-minded Babbitt?

Thirteen Questions - To Ponder!

Great title. Caught my eye as soon as I opened the mail. I can think of only a couple of things worse than being pedantic. " droll, and dead."
Keep em coming Tom, Hugs, J'nia

You sir are a most intelligent man, hell, half the words I had to look up herein, but learned me some new ones...I especially enjoyed scratching each others back, though I wouldn't touch yours with the proverbial 10 foot pole, LOL, Ed

Tom, you are a hoot! Not only does my brain falter from these ponderings, but my tongue got twisted, to boot! Will have to return when I'm healed, and my back stops itching...:o)

I can dig it, and all thirteen are worth pondering. But these days, I seem to be captivated the most by the simple things. So, I'm now pondering this one:

If the Dog Hadnít Stopped to Take a Dump -
Would he Have Caught the Rabbit?

I have five dogs, and from my experience I can tell you that whether they have stopped to dump or not, none of them have caught a single rabbit yet. And I don't count the time a rabbit got stuck in a fence while they were in hot pursuit. Luckily, I was nearby so I quickly 'unstuck' it, and they never caught that one either!
