EAT LESS - MOVE MORE!

Want to Lose Ten Pounds of Ugly Fat?
Cut Your Head Off!
Ouch!
So much for Levity -
Now for the Real Meat of the Matter -
Diet - Fads - Plans - Regimens - Pills - Drinks -
High Protein - Low Carb - Adkins - Smadkins -
You’re Up - You’re Down -
Not Unlike a Yo-Yo!
Ever Found Even One - that Worked?
Sure - Sure - Temporarily -
But - Old Habits Die Hard -
Don’t They?
There is but One Answer -
Will Power!
EAT LESS - MOVE MORE!
My Son told me these Four Words -
Did he actually ‘Coin’ Them?
Could We Copyright a Bumper Sticker -
And make a Zillion Bucks?
Who Knows?
Who Cares?
Who Understands the Simplicity of it All?
Was it Napoleon Hill who Said:
“Whatever the Mind of Man Can -
Conceive and Believe - it can Achieve!”?
Are you Morbidly Obese?
Want the Weight to Cease?
Can it be Done with Ease?
A BIG Hell No!
It takes Work! It takes Desire!
It takes Stick-to-it-tive-Ness!
Will Power!
A Desire to Live Life!
Not Watch it Go By!
Are you a Participant?
Or Only a Spectator?
Do you Suffer from ‘Excusitis?’
I Tried - I Can’t! It just doesn’t Work!
I QUIT!
EAT LESS!
You may get Hungry -
But - it Won’t Kill You!
A Heart Attack Will!
Diabetes Will!
High Blood Pressure Will!
MOVE MORE!
Oh - but it Hurts!
TOUGH!
Get Over It!
Do It Again!
Repeat the Exercise!
Isometric Exercises -
Tense Opposing Muscles and Tendons -
Gently - Slowly - Don’t Allow Contraction - RELAX!
Small, Conscious, Planned Repetition -
Oooow! Oooow! Oooow!
Just One More!
Inch by Inch -
Minute by Minute -
Day by Day -
Slowly - Progress Will Happen!
You Don’t Have to Run - Jog - Trot -
You can Simply Walk!
No Cost! No Strain! No Pain!
“No Pain - No Gain!”
Bull! Hype! Propaganda!
To Get You to - BUY something!
How QUAINT!
Diet Soda - Loaded with Aspartame!
Fast Foods - Loaded with Sugar!
Dunk Your Donut - Have Another Twinky!
Natural Fruits - Preferably Organic!
Fresh Vegetables - Ditto!
Drink Tons of Water!
EAT LESS - MOVE MORE!
Quarter-Pounders - That’s Four Ounces!
Weren’t Sufficient -
Double-Bacon-Cheese-Burgers - Ditto!
Eight Ounces - Plus!
Super-Size Me!
Ten - Twelve - Fourteen Ounces?
Who Knows? Who Cares?
I’m HUNGRY!
Now - It Is One-Third Pounders!
Sixteen Divided by Three = Five Point Three-Three Ounces?
Just What are They?
Perhaps a ‘Cut-Back’ from the Super-Size?
Who is Kidding Whom?
Who is the Dum-Dum Here?
Doctor Os Tells Us -
A Meal Should Only be the Size of your Fist!
NOT YOUR HEAD!
Remember the Aforementioned ‘Ugly Fat?’
Leaving Something Left on your Plate Used to Mean -
“Your Eyes were Bigger Than your Belly!”
Oh Yeah? Checked the Mirror Lately!
I Have! Whale Ho! Man the Harpoons!
I Love Exercise!
I Can WATCH it All Day!
I Keep telling Myself -
I’m Not over-Weight!
At Sixty-Nine - Five Foot-Six - Only 160 Pounds!
It’s Just a ‘Milwaukee Tumor!’
Yeah - Yeah - Yeah - A Mere ‘Beer-Belly’ -
Screwing up - my Posture - my Back - my Physique!
Sometimes it is Tough to even See - my WILLY!
OOPS! Too Much Information?
Needless to Say -
I Could Go - On - and On -and ON -
But I think you Got the Picture!
Right?
EAT LESS - MOVE MORE!-

| Action-and-information packed this write, Tom... enough to get the heart pounding and the appetite for health quickened at any rate! Can I, too, have a body like that one featured?! :)) Yep, we may try to theorise and invent many other failsafe ways to safeguard life-and-lean but, as you so convincingly write here, there is really only the one OBVIOUS solution. Spoken like a true convert! TY xx |

So true those words of advice, Tom. Tips to help: use a salad plate rather than a dinner plate to eat from; start your day with cup of hot green tea with a lemon twist; never make a fast-food stop unless your walking half a mile to get there and half a mile to return home (LOL...that would stop the fast-food habit!)
Blessings and Love - Micke |

Our nation is now filled with gigantic Milwaukee Tumors (have to rename them American Tumors) - as I wander all about, it's amazing to me that all ages now have them - from young tykes to old geezers. The Land of Junk Food, and Inactivity, and Vicarious Living on TV and Computer Screens.
I think the animated flick WALL-E has humanity's sad future down to a Tee - we humans get so obese, we lose the ability to maneuver on our own, and we just lie around eating, and watching a computer screen.
Gimme Those Good Old Days where Everyone Moved A Lot More - and out in the Great Outdoors. |

i am thin, but read anyway. how true, we are becoming a nation of diet cola washing down 6 cupcakes. i teach first graders who huff and puff just to do a few jumping jacks, i'm doing them too at many times their age, i bend to touch my toes and have first graders who can't make it. when did our little people become couch potatoes?
my mom had a sure fire diet trick, and it works, eat what you like, eat less of it, and before every meal down a BIG glass of water and an apple, you will eat less, and remain nice and healthy.
my own diet addition: eat dessert first, it is something most people view in horror, however, no matter how big the meal and how stuffed folks may be, when dessert appears, it WILL be stuffed in, eat dessert first
enjoyed the read |

Hi Tom
Oh my goodness! Now I really feel guilty. I'm just back from walking the dog, but let me tell you, I know it takes a lot more than that. Cheers! Liz |
