Well, Ladies n' Germs ... somehow I missed posting this before. Written almost three years ago, it somehow got 'buried.'
Perhaps that is an 'OMEN'?
Please let me know ... OKAY?

DIALECTOLOGY
© - Tom Hyland - 11-13-09
Dialectic - the Vernacular - Language -
He done spoke so good, I got ‘goose-bumps!’
She weren’t wearin’ a ‘stitch’ of clothes!
Ain’t that a ‘kick in the head?’
That thar Hyland fella is fulla ‘hogwash.’
Goin’ downy O-shun Hon!
When he fell down on the ‘payment’ he ‘busted’ his knees.
Put dem cole beers inna ice-box dere.
If’n da dog hadna stopped to take a ‘dump’
He’d a caught da rabbit!
Mark Twain wus a really ‘gud righter.’
Sew wuz Erma Bombeck.
De bof had a gud cents a hoomer.
Jovial jocular jokesters just jrab my jugular.
Testamentary testimonials tickle my tonsils -
Not to mention my testicles!
Hodge-podge lodges hardly habituate hardy habits.
Frolicking fiestas fester fearsome fantabulous fandangos.
Fourscore n’ seven years ago our Forefathers fought fearlessly!
What onc’t wus - ain’t no more - An’ dat’s a fac!

If’n my brudder Jersey hadna stopped to take a ‘dump’
He’d a surely caught da rabbit, for dear old Ma’s stew
And dear old Ma still talks about that to this very day
We all went hungry that night, I swilled homemade brew
