                       In the spring I watched

The spring rains drip off

The branches of the ash tree

With their promise of growth

And new life thinking of that

Old adage…spring flowers

Bring Mayflowers.

Now, watching the raindrops

Drip off the tip of the

Yellow ash leaves,

I know they promise

More cold winter nights

To come and

Think it must be true then

That fall showers

Bring snowflakes.

Very good poem Susan! I can truly visualize a clear distinction of raindrops dripping off yellow ash leaves evolving into fall showers then soon to follow winter snowflakes and I love it! :)
