Dad was named
For an old
Family friend
Who “had Money”.
When the old friend
Died
Dad inherited
No money, just
An old violin.
He went looking
For it one day
Thinking his girls
Might want to
Learn to play.
His father had
Sold it to
A junk dealer.

Well crafted and haunting story and perspective ~ of a wrong done by someone who should have loved him the most.
