She was a gift from a friend

All in fun from her trip

To New Orleans…

The little Voodoo doll,

Black with feathers on her head and

A dress with gold trim

And two pins one black

For evil and one white

For good spells.

She has been in a cubical shelf

On my desk, kind of  pushed back out of sight

For several years now, nearly forgotten.

Last night while I slept, the black cat

Pulled her out and they played

And plotted the night away.

And I can only pray

That she did not mistake those

Needle sharp claws for the

Black or white pins….

For who knows what evil

Lurks in the mind of my

Big black cat???????
