Why "I want what I want and I want it NOW!!!" is not good for me.

             CONFITEOR

No health,

No health in me,

No health in me at all.

And I’m not talking

About the physical, the medical.-

When I nightly replay

My day’s journey

I see how sick and wanting

My heart can really be

How I become again

The spoiled eight year old

Who wants what he wants,

Wants it his way,

And wants it NOW.

Too much trying

To get my own way

Is just as dangerous

As the eight year old me

Getting all the candy he wants,

Spiritual diabetes rots the soul

No less so than the physical kind

Rots the body.

And yet I persist.

It’s a good thing God

Loves me and is patient with me

Much more so

Than I am patient with me

And with those around me.

"Spiritual diabetes rots the soul
No less so than the physical kind
Rots the body."

Come now, what you ALLOW with your soul
does not have to be what allows with being alive.
Your words are great for people like me to hear.
Don't rot away too soon!

CHIP ...

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger - it must be a universal human trait - mostly and usually attributed to Venusians - but we Martians display our fair share!

Well at least you know what you want. Lotsa folks don't. Suggest spirtual bondo to fix the rot, a nice afternoon at the beach for example. Patrick
