As a tribute to Sir M. Visvesvarya ....

I   Know Her As Ranjana

As I visited Bharat-ratna Visvesvaraya's village, I remembered my childhood.

As a tribute to the famous Kannada Statesman, I made a sandwich of a few lines written by Tagore; no offence meant to the poet.

"...... Aamaar naamto jane ganyer panchjana,
             jana hai nai chakshu melia,
ghar hote shudhu dui paa phelia,
  aamaader sei taahaar naamti
Ranjana !.....(Beng.)"

                           .............  After Nobel Laureate Tagore

"  Everyone knows my name in the village; but I had not made any efforts  to know her as Ranjana  ----  that would have taken just a few steps from my home."
