How come the corner never closes?
Why is its fillament in short supply?
From where do these shadow merchants appear
whenever I happen to pass by?

Fragments of the first temple recycled,
freed only through form,
helped to rebuild the hinges love for friction,
but I go to leave ~
and of course can't open the door...
can't move my legs,
CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE!

Pieces of the last house remembered,
uncovered only in obscurity.
Little trinkets serving as reminders
of a love I let slip away from me.
I go to cry ~
and of course can't tread the tears...
can't move my arms,
can't just disappear.

Here it is, years later.
Carefully written cement...
"Mark Wuz Here"
"I LOVE YOU JEN"

Glimpses of a new home waiting,
cherished only every waking second I'm alive,
again hinges on the maybe
that somehow I can change her mind.
I go to try ~
and of course can't make it rain...
can't shield my heart,
can't seem to refrain.

I go to touch her ~
and of course she can't stand the thought...
she can't blame chance for being taken by what I never caught,
she just can't.

Here it is, moments after.
Rushing to apply pressures to the wound,
I go to heal ~
and of course...
I just can't give up on you,
I just can't
