Descending in the West The fiery orb That shined all day Now must go to bed. Soft lightly colored skies Dip down to kiss the Purple mountain majesties below While billowing clouds gather Highlighting the sun's ray so It makes the Heavens ablaze Like an explosion Upon the vista, Marking the end of Another glorious day. Across the landscape Stretches of rolling greens, Almost white sands and Waves of amber Decorates this expansive land In our country - America. As I travel By bike, cycle, bus, train, Car or plane From shore to shore Often I'm filled with wonder, Admiring nature's perfect masterpieces Whether it be night or day They can be found Anywhere around the nation. And I pray Forever may they stand These painted creations Preserved for all to enjoy For years to come On God's Canvas.
