Cares Away

Cares Away

She’s too sleepy, that’s Okay-
Softly brush the cares away-
Fingers gently through her hair-
Has to know how much I care.

Felt her neck, the muscle’s tight
Warm massage will get that right-
Nice and warm this comfy bed-
Pampering my sleepy head.

Up and down her back- such skin-
Stroke her shoulders with my chin.
Soft caresses let her sleep,
Lying in this love so deep.

Heard a sigh and now she turns-
Slowly as our candle burns-
“What cha doin?” she inquires -
Anything your heart desires.

Not a care is left by now-
Guess I got them all somehow-
She forgives me, not upset-
We won’t go to sleep just yet.

Nice way to wake her up, and nice that she was so agreeable about it. Enjoyed . . .

Beautiful softness to this poem, how you tune in to her rhythm so naturally, the way you relax tightness and help her let go of defenses. None of your poems are ever rushed which is kind of amazing to read about in this rushing world. Therefore, as with all your poetry, this is dreamy and has great heart.
