I Love You

I Love You

I love you more than reason’s breath can speak,

A love which even this heart would not seek.

One day- the sun rose higher than before-

“Till I saw you and will see nothing more.

It brought the end of ordinary days-

An all consuming love in me always-

As through a screen is everywhere your face-

Stealing my heart for all it would embrace.

To love you is to feel in every breath

Connection stronger than the fear of death-

Perfection is to know that you exist-

For all the dreams my heart can not resist.

What else can matter? Let the visions fade-

This love will not, I’ll never be afraid-

What matters- if you grasp my heart or no-

The truth is I will always love you so.

Oh My, this is so intense and so beautifully written. That last line is golden and expresses how love is priceless even if not returned.

Darn it John..you and I have the same disease ..we love and love and love yet, our 'beloveds' are nowhere to be seen..perhaps that is the fate such souls endure..
Well, at least we have a pen strong which knows where IT belongs..LOL!

I sure am saving this one..absolutely spot on!!!

Blessings,

If that love is not reciprocal, it can be intensely painful. I can relate to the love that you have describe with your verses here, John. Thank you. Love and peace,
