How far would you go to save your bestfriend?

BESTFRIENDS

She was one of my really close friends

Naw fuck it

She was like my best friend

We went everywhere together

If you saw me then you saw her and most days I felt it would be like that forever

It started because we had sleepovers like all the little girls do

I’d pass out and she would pass out too

But the next morning she was gone

And I hated to be alone

I hated for her to leave me

And she did that plenty

See

I would get these headaches and start to feel dizzy

It didn’t last long though

Because later I would see her and we’d sing the same old song

Man, I can sit and reminisce

Of the time she changed my life when I was only an adolescent

My… lips touched her lips

And… we kissed

I felt this burning sensation in my chest

And at my best

I can describe it as. …Magic!

People would say we were attached at the hip

I mean… we are

But gradually our friendship started falling apart

She became very controlling toward me

She was my best friend true

But she made me think my family was my enemy

Everyone thought I had changed

Actually she slowly found her way into my brain

I started doing things I’d never do

Like constancy lying instead of telling the truth

My sex life changed too

I mean

Sex is good with two people but it is better with three

Sometimes I’d kiss her just to feel a lil sexy

Then I’d think

Fuck a man

As long as I had my best friend

But then again

If we all fell asleep together

I’d wake up and it would just be me and my lover

And then those headaches would begin

damn

I began thinking I couldn’t function without her by my side

That’s what best friends were for… right?

To be there through thick and thin

But I started to get the better side of thin when she was away

Then

I’d go get her and we’d kiss again

Just to be back to my happy place

Or so I thought

Me and everyone I knew constantly fought

They seemed to believe

That she was destroying me

She was the reason why I went to jail

But hell

I can’t blame that all on her

My vision was a blur

So I kind of ran across 3 lanes

But sometimes it happens that way

I wasn’t mad

But when I was getting harassed

My best friend left me there on my ass

So I was sitting in the joint without my friend

But when I got out I had to go kiss her lips again

Then

I’m cool

And like a fool

I fell back into her trap and started doing the things we always do

I guess I can see why people thought she wasn’t good for me

True

She always dipped on me when trouble started

So I had to be the one retarded

I just can’t call it

She was beginning to effect things that would be against my better judgment

She started acting real funny and I didn’t know what that meant

I was under the impression

That she thought I was her pet

Now my family is begging me

To leave her be

Maybe they were right

Because this one particular day I began thinking maybe we shouldn’t be so tight

Ok

One day

We were together and I went temporally blind

For a couple of days I couldn’t open my eyes

I needed her to stay by my side

And comfort me

I remember riding with my best friend

Doctors say I was with her when that..accident began

But when I woke up see was gone again

You may ask what kind of best friend would keep leaving you and never have your back?

Well her name is Cognac

So lets just leave it at that!
