If one doesn't follow their dreams, nothing is accomplished. That is the bold line drawn between winners and losers. Reality is knowing that you can, you will, and you have. There is absolutly no reason to settle for any less than you dream. Achieving one's goals and dreams is never without hard work, dedication and a few 'hiccups'along the way, but conviction and resolve are the true "Reality Check".
This is a wonderful and thought-provoking write Snuggs!!

So many times in our lives we wonder, what to do about this or about that. A friend once said, "When in doubt, do nothing." But that was never a good enough answer for me, for in doing nothing a piece of heaven may pass you by. I would always tell him, "Hey, I'm gonna do something, even if it's wrong."
Besides, he was a lawyer.....LOL

great write Chanti. causes one to reflect within their own souls and lives. time and destiny create reality that we know and that reality is served better with dreams such as our own. we cheat ourselves in situations were we are always asking why. well done.

| If reality has come and unraveled your dreams, then that means they're on the wind out there somewhere. Perhaps somewhere northeast of you, a little boy in China is being disturbed by your drifting reverie...he catches the threads and weaves his own cocoon...and so it goes. --Charlie |

This tugs at the heartstrings like the tears of a young child looking up at their mother. So deeply moving that I want to reach through the screen to hug you and say all will be all right...this too will pass. If love is deep it often hits speed bumps but once over them things always level off.

When it becomes clear that reality and dreams will never meet, there is a sadness, a pain beyond comprehension. When it comes to love, the dream relies on equal effort, equal willingness to sacrifice and equal understanding from each partner. When one falls short the dream dies. It is in the mourning that we find ourselves. We find our own reality -
and sometimes it's more brutal than we can bear. |
