A Granddaughters’s Visit
Wonderful gift from the heavens above,
carrying bags, came to visit us last week,
her beauty and laughter, a bundle of love,
she’s bright and talented an ever so sweet.
Alexsia Renee Patton, her beautiful name,
on the go from the morning’s early dawn,
everyday was so much fun playing games,
wiser than her years, gentle as a young fawn.
She brought so much joy each and every day,
telling her stories and singing us her songs,
with a smile on her face, her own special way,
she’d light up the room when she came along.
Each day we played in the warmth of the sun,
with a pony named Twix, Nemo, and Harlee too
dancing and laughing it was all so much fun,
beneath the trees, under the sky ever so blue.
The visit came and went, the passing in time,
our hearts filled with love, we felt the sorrow,
Grandma and I thought each day was so fine,
she’ll be back again, on a future tomorrow.

|Lovely sentiments, Sam. Your love is obvious. I have two daughters and a son but no grandchildren (yet). I think I'd feel the same as you do. Thank you for shairing this gift. Love and peace to you,

|I hope she reads this because it will mean so much to her. It is something that she will keep and treasure long after you've quit this mortal coil. A beautiful tribute to a beautiful girl.
Thanks for sharing Samuel.
