Some times I bask in inner light

the fortitude of a child's delight

proclaiming myself to be regal

a charming voice, a powerful eagle

flitting around enjoying the sights

from the top of a tree or a beam of light.

I spread my glitter on the moon and stars

colorful droplets of musical bars

timeless, ageless, beauty from within

paints a morning dew with a light shagrin.

In a universe so vast and bright

we must always bow to a child's delight.

Even at the darkend door

Ill fated futures as you wait for more,

The child you serve is your first defense

worthy of joy, love, and confidence.

Remember always, to be young at heart

at the end of life, as you were at the start.

Bask in your own display

inner beauty will guide you way.

I cast my words to your lending ear

for I am but a  servant, a light shinning sphere

In a universe so vast and bright

We must always bow to a child's delight.

This has lovely flow and I love the theme because it reminds me not to feel badly when people keep telling me that I never "grew up." Love and best wishes to you, Karen,
