Today, I had to go to the emergency room. I thought I was going to have surgery. I was very frightened. There was someone, who stayed in touch; this is for him.

You were there;
                      I was a frightened child;
and you were there
                       The doctors came and went
and you were there
                        More than I have ever been able to expect;
you were there.
                        a message here and there,
you were there
                        You walked through my fear with me
You held my hand from afar,

                               Thank you for walking with me
Thank you for being there.
