Autumn Leaves

The last three days have been hell. I was in the emergency room yesterday, and through the whole thing, my special someone kept in touch with me.

Taking the dog out for a walk
                                             Rustling through autumn leaves.

The phone rang, a message, a simple smile.
                                             my face brightened and tears can to my eyes.

Eva Cassidy on the radio,
                                            how did I stumble into such a wonderful world?

Thanks God, for this, this peace.
                                            Thanks God for this gentle joy.

I dreamed a dream last night;
                                             We were arm in arm listening to jazz.

Shania now, Thank you
