Ode Of Sanity

Keeping a sense of humor and having faith will enable you to face any decision or dilemma you may encounter in life...and that my friend's is the TRUTH!

Decisions, decisions do boogle my mind,

some simplistic other's bewilder or beguile.

Certain dilemmas are like carnival rides

merry go rounds and roller coaster highs.

some special days my brain gravitates

filling with helium, I think I might faint.

Other times I'm numb and befuddled

laughing like a loon, lost and confused.

I wait...for white suits and strait jackets, too...

One thing is certain, I've learned through the years

every beginning will soon have an end.

Keeping my sense of humor has kept me a tad sane,

I have and I will survive anything...

If only one day could be completely like the next, we'd always know how to react - how boring would that be! What a perfect poem to reflect our changing emotions within the non-consistent moments of our lives. Thanks!

Then you and I are in the same boat. I've even had a mental health professional tell me that my sense of humor is what's kept me from a psychotic break given all the stuff that's gone down in my life, LOL. A right on write, sis. :-) ~~Nordette

What would we do without our sense of humour? But for some of us it is taking us closer and closer to the white suits and strait jackets ... lol. Excellent write, Mizzlady Poetress.

God bless,

Sandie.

...Don't know quite what I'll do when the pressure is extreme cos this just sounds like me on a normal day! And THAT'S the truth, too! :)) But, have just looked below and that seems to be the case for 100% of us!! We're therefore in good company! Come the Revolution, guess we'll get thrown out of the balloon first, but enough of us holding hands will just float us to heaven I reckon! This write brings joy to the heart, Mizzlady... whoever said that writers are antisocial isolates? Perhaps we now know why... but humourless?! Never!! :)) We will never walk alone and ALWAYS survive, that's for sure! TY Kate xx

If I didn't have a sense of humor I'd be a basket case.
Besides I love to laugh and do so very easily
at everything;-) And also I keep the faith!;-)

Yes...a sense of humor is a marvelous ally. One of my favorite
humor lines, was something said by the late Waylon Jennings:
"I may have been crazy, but it kept me from going insane!"
