Sometimes you will feel all alone
and be cast out into the sea
With not one boat or a single rope, and
say, Lord it's just little O' me

Suddenly out of the blue sharks-
teeth so bright
O' they are enjoying their day
Saying forget the hooks and lines of time
this is what they seem to say

O' fresh bait it has been a long wait
I am going to enjoy this plate
We don't need no spoon, just give us room
it's been too long since we have ate

But O' sharks of life you can't have this meat
we will not let you do us in
Go smack your jaws you can't take us down
for we are in this life to win

You can make all the circles on your plight
we won't let you take us out
So put on your dance do what you have to do
but we do know this route

I'd be nice if they knew about mercy
or even have a little bit of grace
But truthfully they can't for it's their nature
so life we just have to face

We have to rely on God to send still waters
through the troubles we have at times
But this we do know they won't last forever
so let us cast them out of our minds

Then ask God shine a little light, in
those dark waters
let him shut the sharks mouths for us
So whatever the problem it will swim on by
for in him we do have our trust
