The soul ship of Zion it has a resting place
being shielded by the power of God
And will sail through, it knows what to do
and that's to let the word abide
Though wars come against this soul of mine
so that it will bring forth the best so why should it even think, to bail out
seeing it was equipped for each test
It's mast of faith will stand the winds
for it's oars are rowing on grace
The anchor is secured and safely grounded
helping it to stay in the race
The long battle horns has gone before
all the weapons are in their place
And no carnal intrustions will offset her run
it will endure what it has to face
This ship won't sail in any shallow waters
for if there's fear, I'd take her down
So it has to launch out, where it's deep
and let God's grace abound
I thought why has the ship not broken up
and why is my spirit calm in me
And then it came, the Captain's on board
so what else could it be
When our Savior is on the ship of Zion
he alone can see, the trips end
So all we have to do is just stay on board
for his power works from within
We shouldn't mind the storms that come
nor to worry about the rain
And don't fear the lighting or thunder
our joy it still can remain
So if God desires to prolong the jouney
then it must be in his will
So allow your heart, to just be quiet
and say, O' soul be still
No one can foretell another one's journey
it's just between God and thee
So let him work out, his perfect will
and then you alone will see
The battle ships has been on many waters
and been on a many stormy sea
And nothing was lost for it knew it's boss
so sail on and let what has to be
The Lord's peace flows like a river
it calms any raging sea
Through stormy winds it can keep you
so great he's to you and me
Don't have to take nothing for this journey
our soul is satisfied with him
Brave on O' ship's for when in his hands
nothing can stay dark or dim
