I know some it has been a very long wait
but think on what it will bring
For every promise God did make I'd come to pass
no, he'll not take back one thing

Though Summer has come and gone on by
and Winter is now drawing near
As we watch the leaves falling to the ground
so be our desires will too appear

For each prayer you prayed they were heard
not a one did pass by God's ears
They were only held up, for just of this time
so go on and wipe your tears

There is no question that we have to ask
God has each answer in his hand
And though, we had a many while in our wait
his love was able to understand

For his plans for us was that we go futher
to greater things he's prepared for us
So the flesh had to go through some troubles
for to gain more of his trust

God never did leave us not one time
he was with us all the way
In the darkest hour he gave strength and power
for to help us in every day

Whenever our hearts grew faint he was there
and when our hopes did fail to stir
His loving words came by to pick us up again
and it did banish every ounce of fear

So with our faih intact we can now rejoice
for the wait it is at it's end
After being tried we can claim this promise
if we let it sink within
