Paradise was the first poem penned by the author in an attempt to provide comfort and peace to a young woman with a terminal illness.

My mouth is blind and scarce knows how to hold your ecstasy,

Speed the soft intercourse from soul to soul.

Wherever you walk, legs lithe upon the carpet of leaves,

Cool winds will fan the glade.

Trees where under you sit shall crowd around into the shade,

Where you tread flowers will blush and rise to touch you,

Where your eyes linger peace will settle like dew upon grass.
