Anger

The more anger we unload

The less we explode

Anger is natural

It shows up the hurt

How much to take

Where to draw the line

Anger is power

For us to protect

Express it constructively

Discuss be matter of fact

No blame, no shame, or attack

Anger held in will explode

Anger against ourselves is a load

Depression and thoughts of suicide

We are taught be slow to anger

Forgive, turn the other check

Watch for dishonesty

When anger we do hide

It surfaces another time

Honesty is best

Proper expression does the rest

Anger is a gift

It should last only fifteen seconds

If there is no shift

It means there is repression

Look for the source

Talk, write, and exercise

When anger runs its course

There is no remorse

The more anger we unload

The less we explode

Honest, happy, lighter we feel

With strength to yield

Our love becomes the shield

I don't understand. This offering of wisdom and insight has been posted here for 3 1/2 years, yet no one has seen fit to leave even one review or comment? What's the matter with my fellow writers/readers? If they want a comment or review of their material from us, they better do their part. This neglect makes me mad as hell!

One, 2, 3, 4, 5... Okay. I'm under control, now.

From one who has been married for 57 years and helped raise four children, let me express how especially important one word is: "Forgive."

Solid, straight-forward advice, Niki. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.
