I Am Here

Sometimes life is very difficult and we need to reach beyond ourselves for comfort. I wrote this poem years ago when I was going through a stressful time.

I dedicate this poem for a new friend who is facing such trials...

They don't see me
But I am here

Can you see me?
Do you see the pain
The hurt
The tears?

My heart is broken and begging...

Please

Love me

I'm still here
Do you see me?
Doesn't anyone see the shadow that
I have become?

Behind the smile and laughter
Is the real me

Crying

Lonely

Strong....

That's what I am supposed to be
That's what everyone sees

A sweet woman
So strong
So put together

If they only knew the

Truth

I am so scared
Weak
Vulnerable

But I am still here

Calling...

Calling out...

God

Do You see me?

I am still here....

Yes, I think it is the ones who seem to have it together that are just waiting for a time to crash (she speaks from experience, lol). I like how you showed the real inner core of vulnerability. Good work.

Strong writing stems from intense emotions, I think. It's what I see here.

Yes...you captured a pain most of us, myself included, have felt at times in our life, and to know that there is just that one person out there who it matters to, is what it takes to survive and go on.

Kerry,

Sometimes it's so hard to see beyond the mask. Being there for her says so much about you. Into everyone's life a star must shine. Peace, Love and Blessings Always, Paul.

I felt a sense of needing to be comforted.
Not showing it outwardly
But inwardly
Well written
