Print Save Become a Fan
Oh I want to live in an Airstream camper,
Out on my own with just me to pamper,
No room to move and no rent to pay,
Maybe Iíll get me one of these someday...
I can hide it away where I canít be found,
Listen to the radio and the grass grow around,
I can fry my steaks on a gas barbie grill,
And drink warm tea when the little fridge is ill...
Donít need W/D hookups Iíll just buy new cloths,
With all the dough Iíll save from the mortgage co.
I wonít need A/C Iíll breath regular air,
Sitting comphy in a new folding lawn chair...
With the TV on a TV tray isnít that where it needs to be?
And my feet up on an igloo box and my glass of warm tea,
I can look around and wonder what it is Iíve done,
While I justify and tell myself this is really really fun...
And when the bugs are bad the rats are around,
They wonít bother me when Iím a foot off the ground.
Yes Iím quite sure this would be the life to try,
Even though the things too small inside...
I will shine it real hard give it a real fine sheen,
The shiniest darn camper anyoneís ever seen,
I will haul it around when the gettingís good,
Even though a big truck Iíll need too if I should...
Maybe Iíll just get me one of these someday...
The big truck I mean...
This would give me an excuse to stay deep indebt,
Make everyone wonder just what I meant,
When I said I wanted to live the Airstream dream,
Living high and free with my pocket book clean...
Iíll stoop them all make them think real hard,
Every time they see me living in my front yard...
But all the while Iíll be wearing a big smiley
As Iím picking all the bugs out of my warm tea...
