He puts down his cigarette, picks up his guitar
Grins at the drunken crowd collecting bottles at the bar
He doesn't really expect to make it rich this way
He just needs to feel that high he gets when someone hears him play
Does he know he makes me feel things
I've never felt before
Does he know that when I hear him play
I only want to hear more
What I wouldn't give, what I wouldn't say or do
To be the woman who inspires the next song deep inside of you

This is a very good poem. You can vision the whole entire place where he plays. A good one indeed.

I pick a mean guitar, but when I sing my dog's ears bleed.
