I just had to share this poem with you all. I was introduced to it by another member on here and i can't stop reading it since. "When we two parted" is a poem by Byron 1788-1824. It seems he wrote it about a secret love and that he was parted from them by some means maybe through death if you look at third verse, seems like he just found out news his loved one had died but thier relationship was in secret so he grieves in silence. I could relate so much to his words and am sure many others can so wanted to share it with you.

When we two parted
in silence and tears
half broken hearted
to sever for years
pale grew thy cheek and cold
colder thy kiss
truly that hour foretold
sorrow to this

The dew of the morning
sunk chill on my brow
it felt like the warning
of what i feel know
thy vows are all broken
and light is thy fame
i hear thy name spoken
and share in its shame

They name thee before me
a knell to my ear
a shudder comes o'er me
why wert thou so dear?
they know not i knew thee
who knew thee to well
long, long shall i rue thee
to deeply to tell

In secret we met
in silence i grieve
that thy heart could forget
thy spirit decieve
if i should meet thee
after long years
how should i greet thee?
with silence and tears

Byron 1788-1824

FROM THE LAST STANZA I GET THE IMPRESSION THAT THE PERSON IS NOT DEAD IN REALITY BUT CERTAINLY 'DEAD' AND 'COLD' IN AS FAR AS THE LONG AGO RELATIONSHIP HE SPEAKS OF IS CONCERNED...BUT IT SEEMS UPON HEARING SOME NEWS REGARDING THE INDIVIDUAL, OLD FEELINGS ARE STIRRED WHICH BRINGS FORTH REGRETS FOR THE FAILED, SECRET AFFAIR. IN ANY CASE, BYRON HAS, OF COURSE, EXPRESSED HIS EMOTIONS THAT ARE FULL OF 'RUE' WELL. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS & FAITH...

Though Byron had more lovers of any gender in the sack, than any-other. He was part of the - live fast, die young, leave a beautiful corpse - that so many peoples of talent have and still do, live by.

Kewl to read your inspiration.
