Over the span of a life, hearts intertwine
Leaving a knot upon our time.
Some for only moments, some linger longer
Making entanglements stronger and stronger.
A gentle tug puts us at ease
While our sails catch the gentle breeze.
Over the waters we drift along,
Waves interrupting the smooth flowing song.
As the waves hit the shore and the closer we get
We check the knot to make sure its been set.
Touching our hearts and knowing for sure,
The knots will remain secure.
We turn to let go,
Leaving a knot upon someone's time.
