“Whenever the pressure of our complex city life

Thins my blood and benumbs my brain,

I seek relief in the trail.

And when I hear the coyote wailing to the yellow dawn,

My cares fall from me - I am happy.”

Hamlin Garland

Friends, I will be gone for awhile

And I don’t know when I will return

I’ve been hearing the Call of the Wild

Spending time in the wilderness, I yearn

My four faithful canines will be at my side

We’ll be searching, for a tiny bit of paradise

There is far too little of it left, these sad days

Gazing at its destruction, brings tears to my eyes

Our modern world’s gettin too horrendous for me

It is time for me, to listen to Mother Earth’s song

It’s time for me to cherish what remains of Nature

And Earth’s God-given beauty, before it is all gone

So, Adios, to all my friends in A.D., for now

We’ll be headin off for awhile, way out yonder

Gettin away from all this from modern civilization

Pee Wee Wolfman Ed and his pals, are off to wander

Enjoy my friend...I think we all need to get away for awhile and get back to nature...makes one appreciate life and all the wonderful gifts that we've been given, nature in itself is an ever abundant gift that keeps giving, everytime I open the door, breath in the mountain air, view the rolling creeks, a deer sprinting across the fields and the mountain elk grazing peacefully....yeah a little bit of heaven while on here on earth. Have a great time I'm sure you will be inspired with many wonderful writes when you return. Adios...
