“We Love Pets,

They Are Always Welcome Here!”

The Website Promoting Their Hotels and Resorts

“Any Employee Caught Feeding or Helping These Cats,

Will Be Terminated – Period.”

A Resort Corporation Executive

There are many feral cat colonies

All across our immense nation today

The offspring of our pet ‘throw-aways’

These innocents are now vilified, everyday

Down in Orlando, Florida, these Anti-Animal Days

These feral cat colonies, have been around a long time

Felines residing around vacation resorts, were welcomed

But what they are doing to these creatures now, is a crime

The Loews Corporation has hired Pest Control Contractors

Who trap these felines, and leave them baking in the hot sun

Hotel employees, who attempt to help these innocent victims

Now find themselves ostracized, and their employment is done

Several animal welfare groups like the national Alley Cat Allies

Have offered to humanely trap, and re-locate, these innocent cats

But in our cruel, animal hating days, in this barbaric nation of ours

All requests to corporate personnel to help are dismissed, just like that

I have seen the work of Pest Control Contractors, and it is not a pretty sight

They’ll often leave animals rotting in their traps, for days and weeks at a time

With no food or water, and with no protection at all, from the weather extremes

Whenever I find their traps, I free their victims, and my act is considered the crime

Pest Controllers cruelly drown their victims

Those which are still alive inside their cages

I have sadly found many dead trapped animals

That didn’t live long enough for the drowning stage

One of the rescued felines in my home today

Had been an innocent victim of ‘Pest Control’

She quickly blossomed into a real sweetheart

And today, both my spouse and I love her so

And I really don’t care much for Florida

But if I should ever find myself there again

I’ll never again stay at another Loews Resort

My patronage of this corporation is at an end

An absolute outrage! I'm so glad that at least one has found a loving and caring home with you and your wife. I am so tired and sickened by the lack of caring, compassion and love in this world, both towards animals and humans. So sad it breaks a heart. ~Best, Elizabeth

My neighbors cats must be feral because they're in my yard a lot. But I say, live and let live because they don't bother me any and are soon gone because I don't feed them.

It is sad that some resorts see fit to trap and kill feral cats if there are other options.

I had to take quite a few 'moments' before I could even think about responding. This just tears me apart, as do all the terrible things we do to animals.
Somebody keeps saying we humans are superior - I think we are just bullies.

I thought this was going to be about the rash of murders and disappearances on cruise ships and resorts in other countries.
Just because people are not in the US they sometimes think, and rightly so they can get away with murder.
