My child, Angelina I know not why you cry
Wipe away those tears you have no reason to fear
Everyone has days when they're full of pain
If you need a smile, watch horses ride the wind.
1b
You'll see magic horses dancing in a storm,
They'll sing a song, play a flute
And whistle your favorite tunes.
Angelina don't be sad, the horses dance for you.

Beneath a golden sun, where the skies are blue
Ponies run and jump all day and fly up to the moon
Dreams are made of magic wax, fit for silver wings
Darlin' you'll hear music play, the dancing horses tune.
2b
You'll see the ponies dancing, on the summer wind
They'll sing their songs and play a flute
In the band the fiddles play, like in a carousel
Angelina take to heart, the horses dance for you.

In the winter cold, you've heard the ghost winds howl
I know you miss your mother, and I miss her too
She used to ride the horses, and we loved her so
Babe I can still hear her now, in the winter snow.
3b
You've seen her at the circus and the rodeo
The ponies danced and how they played
And carried on; o' how they sang their songs.
Angelina don't cry, the horses still dance for you. |
