The pain is real! To many have experienced it! I can only hope they find their NOW!

There was a time

I sat battered and bruised

No expectation no good news

face in my hands

tears falling down

silent screams

shattered dreams

black and blue

became my daily look

ringing in my ears

sounds and fears

That was my future

Loud and clear

Words only meant pain

Laughter added to shame

I was told only I was to blame

Suddenly deep inside my broken heart

A flame appeared from a tiny spark

embers glowed

From long ago

When I was a person

Strong and whole

I can make it out

Came the shout from my soul

I still had a chance to laugh and grow

To be the me I know

I can only pray

the next woman won't suffer this way

And to her you will give a brighter day

But for me I made it out

 this is
