A portrait hangs on the musky old wall A shell of a man Shallow and small An alligator tear Graces The painted on cheek A smile of red and white paste Covers the frown Time had Permanently placed on the old man's face Just like the Mime Stiff and rigid Without blinking an eye Paid no attention To life passing by Wasted away Without reason or rhyme Leaving no mark Of his existence In time (C)2002 The Original Mister Debra J Stiles
