Sometimes the words I write say it much better than I could ever say them out loud.

Is this about me
she asked not so sure
her words ran with doubt
partial fear and unsure.

Of course it's for you
I replied with a grin
who else do I love
and share feelings within.

But I really didn't know
she started to quip
I read the words here
not heard from your lips.

Of course you are right
I said somewhat shy
I write things much better
than say eye to eye.

She said this is true
I need words to be said
I need more to absorb
these things from your head.

Well how about this
I asked very proud
I write them down first
then read them aloud.

That would be great
But I know from the past
You make these sure plans
And they really won't last.

Then how about this
I had finally said
my next poem will show
these thoughts from YOUR head.

That would be nice
she said with a grin
but if you wont say the words
let me start over again.

I agree. So often it is easier to write things than say them to someone, looking into his or her eyes.
Fantastic poem.

Michael, you need to put her on a verbal merry go round and ride together side by side to be in 'sync.' Do you think that would work?
