Different people reflect on their lives at different times... It's NOT my birthday, but I am in one of those moods today.

It's my birthday and I digress
to years gone by and future rest.

It's a snow fallen morning and I just stare
as silent flakes erase summers flare.

It's Christmas day and gifts are new.
The shirts are red, returned for blue.

It's New Years eve and goals I set
of things that surely won't be met.

It's my work review for me.
Grade my goals and what's to be.

It's Valentines day and gifts are bought
to further the bonds assure love's sought.

It's vacation time and I relax.
Forget the past just plan new tracks.

It's 3 AM the phone is ringing
my life will change I'm surely thinking.

It's writing time my thoughts are booming.
Can't wait to read the posts reviewing.

This clips along with just 'my cup o tea' rhythm and rhyme, Michael. It's those adventures in reading another's take on life in the moment that can easily influence our own writing... I consider myself inspired, having read this.

I am also hugely taken with the clever "blurb" next to your bio pic. In an instant my face went from concentrating scowl to lit-up grin. Good stuff! katy xox.
