Actually not my real routine, because when I get up at 2 AM, I am up for the rest of the day.

2 AM
garbage can
wakes me from my sleep

cats outback
running track
distant car says beep

morning sounds
no sun frowns
too early to get up

breakfast thoughts
groceries bought
where's my coffee cup

paper boy
reading joy
not yet hit our street

out of bed
scratch my head
socks applied both feet

light gets lit
cough and spit
burp from chicken wings

TV on
flush the john
TV selling things

buy this drill
makeup thrill
come and join Marines

repeat news
gadget tools
exercise machines

TV off
tissue soft
blow my nose real loud

curtains wide
look outside
night sky has no clouds

view mirror
thoughts clearer
check the time once more

back in bed
cover head
searching for the snore.

I LOve this! A gem to savor!
You had me smiling ear 2 ear!
SWEET, reality and sad but true, us writers/poets wake up writing anytime of day!
It's that early time
of morning
when I stop my snoring
continue writing and wishing
that I can still make a difference!

Very entertaining read.Sounds like me on my way to bed.Time is so precious I hate to waste it sleeping.

This restless energy flow
Days so quick come and go
So little time , so much to know
Never stop , I have to grow.

God Bless, Luke

This is charming humor and a poem that is tastefully engineered.

Go back to sleep
Without a peep

Sounds like a normal man's routine to me except you left out the scratching and farting part.
