Reflections ...
|
I lost my best connection, to all things found.
I’m treading heavy water, to stay above ground.
I lost my place in life, falling far from first.
I drank the words of wisdom, to satisfy my thirst.
I pushed at things that pushed back, really no surprise.
I search for understanding, in someone else’s eyes.
I cringe at all stupidity, no matter what the level.
I sold my soul for freedom, thank you Mr. Devil.
I think about the future, and all my goals in life.
I accept the dangers and deflect the total strife.
I fought for others dignity, with powers never shown.
I answered all the questions, except my very own.

You will find in time by the answering of others questions your own will also become clear with time. Life struggles cannot be a deterrent only stepping stones to tomorrow.

The reality of reflection- we always seem to be just out of reach. However, we also, usually, never stop the search for those answers. I enjoyed reading this poem. thank you
Best regards,
