This poem leans towards some sad ironies in life, but I must point out that there is hope for all of us. The Creator loves us, no matter how 'in your face' the troubles of this world become. Admittedly this is a difficult concept, but once realized, one that brings peace.
Somewhere east of the sun and west of the moon,
and a hundred years at the outside,
repeating their memories,
fading like ashes
being skimmed off the top
of a cold fire pit
by inevitable winds.
finding time to pour their minds
into artistic notions,
attempting confessions and
missing their Mother.
