The summer cottage, Worn and tired Like all the children who Played themselves out in her. So many memories and laughter. The silence cannot bring justice But only a queer sense Of misunderstanding. Emptied of all it�s treasures,. Clinging to it�s original form, The stained carpet and wood stove Are the odd marks of affection That rest, Like a pierced ear Of a lifelong and dedicated slave.

Again, most excellent writing! I love your word usage - its deliberate and very clever. I suspect you've been writing for a while ... Like a pierced ear Of a lifelong and dedicated slave.
