Yes I Do

She whispered symphonically in my ear,
she told me of things both far and near.
silent echoes of other worlds so to speak,
mysterious visions for those whose watch it is to keep.

So carry on I heard her say,
for there is soon, the fulfillment of the day.

A time when all things must finally end,

a time for you, and your broken heart to mend.

So, weep not heavy into the night,

For this room is filled with angels bright,

I shall soon travel where no darkness looms,

to a place of days where joy is always in bloom.

Closer…come closer, I heard her say,

Can you see them too?

They are just over the way.

I looked to where she so painfully did motion,

And saw nothing but the sinking sun

Drifting into a silent slumber

on an amber and gold ocean.

Yes I do…I heard myself say…

Yes I do

My love…

Peace is indeed

On its way.

Allen, this truly a remarkable inspiring well-penned composition, my friend. You have reached the pinnacle of embracing love and life with this timeless piece. May you and yours find the inner strength, peace and enjoy the holiday season. I shall return to visit your site once again and leave a comment. It is a beautiful work of art, and I did enjoy my last visit a week or so ago. I’m still a little camera shy though. Take good care and be well.
