A Stolen Star…A new Sun Risen
I once reached into the heavens darkness and stole a star from God’s eternal night.
I held it close to my heart and carried it with me all the daylong…never losing sight.
Then one day my precious star wept aloud begging no more to stay, but to only go home.
I wondered why of this cruelty that my dear precious star should leave me so alone.
I held her close that final day, I begged the Lord my God to let my little star stay.
Yet these, my words fell like empty syllables upon a broken tear stained ground.
The darkness once again filled my world as the light of my star through trembling fingers slipped away never again to be found.
My days dreamed like months casting broken shards of cold light into an empty heart.
Nevermore Thought I, nevermore should I ever hold close to me another shining star.
Then one day as I wept softly into what I perceived as being an eternal and bitter night.
I saw another glimmer of light, a peek at a ray of hope in the darkness which soon began to give way to a new day’s morning light.
How sweet it is to once again feel the soft light of loves gentle kiss upon my time worn face.
Oh how wonderful it is to be able to see a future wrought sweetly by Gods s grace.
Stars may be stolen, but they only last awhile; yet their love is never forgotten in any way.
For it is only by the rising of a new Sun, that we will dream once again of a new and brighter day.
