Fear can be demobilizing if you give it 'the boss' status.
|
How Scary Is That?!
How’s it goin’with that fear?
Is it getting enough attention?
It needs all it can get.
The poor thing gets almost no rest.
Are you checking in on it often enough?
Are you feeding it enough?
It needs a diet rich in doubt.
It demands only the best of your dreams;
Wants to be included in everything you do.
Don’t try to leave it at home;
It’s very sneaky;
When you are laughing in joy at an achievement,
Suddenly, there it is, beside you, Demanding more doubts, more second thoughts.
Maybe it’s become too big, too strong,
Maybe it’s time to cut back on its diet;
It’s been spoiled with too much attention.
It hates to hear you laugh,
But pays close attention to others’ laughter,
And uses it as gravy for its doubt,
Covering you with its sticky demobilizing goo!
How scary is that?!

True to my experience. I feed it cash and self-esteem to quiet it down. Just what the doctor ordered Edie. I needed to hear that. Now let's hope my Ocwen Federal my mortgage company has a sense of humor, they would not take my payment on line due to my account status. You think they'd appreciate the gesture, and not contribute more fear?
