A poem about the family cat. |
|
Our family cat had
Grown grotesque with age.
His skin covered
with cancer sores
and his bones bulged
out beneath his fur--
his once thick and fluffy fur.
He felt almost like
some strange, flightless
bird when you had to hold him.
One day he did take flight
and left us.

I just got around to this one, Rachel. Sadly, it reminds
me of the day we lost Kitty, But somehow I managed to capture
it in a poem I posted called...Kitty. -gene. |
