Second Poem I ever wrote, totally different mood from the first. |

As morning light rises
Familiar hands shield his eyes
Surroundings make themselves known
With waves greeting the sand
Calmness engulfs his sense of things
The shield slowly breaks
He searches his thoughts for answers
A challenge presented the truth.
The air cools as time fades
Calm waves sing their lullabye
Golden sand sleeps colourless
Two figures stroll, time escapes them
Hearts race as the figures turn
Retracing their trail lit in moonlight
He extends a hand between them
Issuing a challenge so bold
Only wind breaks the silence
Offering no ease to his heart
Eternity passes but all stays motionless
Dread sweeps threw his body
A small sigh escapes lost coldly to the wind
He gazes longily to oceans song
Warmth finds him and binds itself
Accepting the challenge
